The witness described an affair that spanned years and included matching tattoos, private getaways, and more than 100,000 exchanged messages.
Botner testified that Flynn frequently discussed his wife, Ashley, during their interactions. Prosecutors presented private text messages to the jury as evidence of the relationship’s depth and frequency. According to Botner, Flynn indicated a significant change was imminent just hours before Ashley was killed. He sent her one final message before going to sleep, and she learned of Ashley’s death the following morning.
