Auto Dealerships Draw Thousands to Annual Family Festival in Idaho Falls

The Smith Group Family Fun Fest brought thousands of families to Idaho Falls on Saturday, marking another successful year of the auto dealerships’ community giveaway event.

The daylong celebration featured a wide range of entertainment and activities designed for all ages. Attendees enjoyed bounce houses, go-kart rides, free food, and balloon artistry throughout the grounds. A highlight of the event was the mud bog competition, where trucks and utility vehicles navigated a 120-foot course in front of spectators.

The festival has become a fixture in the Bonneville County community calendar. Local auto dealerships have organized and sponsored the event for the past decade, reinvesting profits back into their neighborhoods through free family entertainment.

“We wanted to give back to the community,” organizers explained of the event’s core mission.

The turnout underscored the appeal of free, family-friendly activities in East Idaho. The event provided residents with a chance to participate in outdoor recreation and fellowship without cost barriers.

What Comes Next: The Smith Group has established the festival as an annual tradition, with plans to continue the event in coming years. Community members interested in attending future iterations can watch for announcements closer to next year’s date. The dealerships also welcome feedback from families about activities and improvements for future celebrations.
