Ammon Schedules July 3 Fireworks Show with Music and Food Vendors

Wildfire smoke over a valley

The City of Ammon will light up the sky with a fireworks display on Thursday, July 3, giving Bonneville County families a chance to celebrate Independence Day a night ahead of the national holiday.

The show is set to launch at 10 p.m. and will be visible from parks and neighborhoods throughout the city. Residents won’t need a specific vantage point to catch the display — much of Ammon’s open terrain offers clear sightlines once the fireworks begin.

This year’s show is presented by Westmark, a local financial institution with longstanding ties to the East Idaho community. Along with the aerial display, Sandhill Media stations will broadcast a coordinated music program so viewers can tune in and sync the soundtrack to the show from wherever they’re watching.

For those looking to make an evening of it, McCowin Park will host food vendors throughout the night, giving families a spot to gather, grab a bite, and settle in before the 10 p.m. launch. The park is expected to be a popular gathering point for Ammon residents.

A Community Tradition

The July 3rd date has become a familiar tradition for many Bonneville County families who appreciate having a local option the night before the Fourth of July. Staging the show on July 3rd also helps spread out holiday traffic and gives families flexibility to catch multiple celebrations across the region over the holiday weekend.

With food, music, and fireworks all in one place, Ammon’s event offers a full evening for residents of all ages. Families planning to attend McCowin Park are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good spot before the crowd builds ahead of the 10 p.m. show.

What Comes Next

The fireworks show takes place Thursday, July 3, at 10 p.m. in Ammon. Residents throughout the city can expect to see the display from their neighborhoods, and those who want food and a central gathering spot can head to McCowin Park earlier in the evening. Tune in to Sandhill Media stations for the accompanying music broadcast during the show.
