Memorial Motorcycle Procession Honors Fallen Service Members, Stops in Idaho Falls This Week

A cross-country motorcycle ride dedicated to fallen soldiers will arrive in Idaho Falls on Monday as part of its annual journey from Oregon to Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.

The 17th annual Tribute to Fallen Soldiers Motorcycle Ride is being hosted locally by Elks Lodge #1087, located at 640 East Elva Street in Idaho Falls. The procession began its journey in Eugene, Oregon, and will make scheduled stops at the homes of deceased service members throughout its route, delivering Memorial Plaques of Distinguished Service to their families.

The group is traveling from Caldwell to Idaho Falls on Monday. Following their arrival, the procession will depart from the Elks Lodge on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., with the public invited to witness the departure.

The ride concludes at Arlington National Cemetery, where a formal ceremony extinguishes a flame in recognition of those who served in the military. The tradition provides families of fallen service members an opportunity to receive recognition and connect with fellow riders supporting the memorial cause.

Community members interested in paying their respects are encouraged to gather at the Elks Lodge on Tuesday morning to see the riders depart. The event reflects ongoing efforts in Bonneville County to honor the sacrifice of service members and their families.

What Comes Next: The procession will depart Idaho Falls Elks Lodge Tuesday at 9 a.m., continuing eastward toward Arlington National Cemetery and the week’s closing ceremony.
