Indoor bounce castle park and arcade opens in Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS — A new family entertainment destination has arrived in Idaho Falls, giving local kids and parents a year-round indoor option for birthday parties, weekend outings, and everything in between.

Bounce City, an indoor bounce castle park and arcade, held its grand opening last weekend at 1645 Woodruff Park Circle in Idaho Falls. The business is co-owned by Boo Boo Bennet and his mother, Nicole Souza, who said the project has been years in the making.

“It’s something we’ve been really wanting to bring to Idaho Falls for a long time,” Bennet said in remarks at the opening. “I grew up in a really small city where there wasn’t much to do, and it was like the highlight of my year to get to go to an indoor bounce castle park.”

What’s Inside Bounce City

The facility features a large bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course and slide, and a sports zone offering football, baseball, and basketball games. The arcade section includes classic coin-operated games alongside newer interactive games that use cameras to track players’ movements.

Admission is priced at $14 for a 90-minute jump pass for children ages 7 and older, and $12 for children 6 and under — rates the owners say make Bounce City an accessible option for local families.

Bennet described the atmosphere as one where parents can feel at ease while their children play. “If you’re looking for a comfortable place to bring your kids — fun for them but also relaxing for you — that would be the biggest reason to come,” he said.

A Family Business Built Through Challenges

The path to opening day was not without obstacles. Bennet said securing the proper permitting from the city took considerable time and tested the team’s patience. Despite those hurdles, he credited the experience with strengthening his working relationship with his mother.

“I know most businesses kind of tear a family apart, and I’m so glad that hasn’t happened to us,” Bennet said. He added that his faith played a central role in keeping the project on track. “We’ve really grounded ourselves through Christ and gave everything up to God and asked for his help every step of the way.”

The opening of Bounce City adds to a growing list of family- and community-oriented businesses taking root in Idaho Falls. The city has seen continued interest from entrepreneurs looking to serve its expanding population. Earlier this year, a new Idaho Falls retail operation opened specifically designed to offer a welcoming space for neurodivergent individuals, reflecting the community’s broadening range of locally owned businesses.

In neighboring Pocatello, Valley Mission announced it received a $200,000 donation from the Humanitarian Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to support equipment purchases for a commercial kitchen and dining area at its facility. The kitchen, once complete, will serve as a training space for residents enrolled in Valley Mission’s Transformational Living Program, teaching participants how to operate a commercial kitchen from top to bottom. Valley Mission’s director, Karl Pettit, said the partnership came together after nearly two years of relationship-building. The mission’s broader renovation project, centered on a former gym facility purchased in 2020, carries an estimated total cost of $2.6 million. Organizers are aiming to open a food pantry this summer and an emergency shelter before winter.

Meanwhile, The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls is launching a June membership drive offering 10 percent off new annual memberships throughout the month. The museum, situated along the Idaho Falls Greenbelt, hosts nationally and internationally recognized exhibitions as well as educational programming, camps, and family events throughout the year. Development director Amy Sisco Thompson said arts investment reflects the kind of community Idaho Falls is becoming. “A strong art museum helps signal that we are a city that values creativity, education, and quality of life,” she said in a prepared statement.
