Idaho State Police Probe Fatal Three-Car Crash on Highway 20

Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred Friday afternoon in Bonneville County.

Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 2:17 p.m. near mile marker 297.9 on U.S. Highway 20. The incident involved a Kia, a Kenworth semi-truck hauling a Kayln Co. trailer, and a Ford F-150.

According to the investigation, the Kia initially struck the commercial truck. Moments later, the Ford F-150 collided with the Kia. The driver of the Kia died at the scene. Authorities confirmed the Kenworth driver escaped the crash without injury.

The driver of the Ford F-150 sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Investigators noted that the Ford driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact.
