BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho — Idaho State Police are investigating an injury crash involving a GMC Sierra on US20 near Idaho Falls.
The crash occurred at about 10:11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at milepost 295 on eastbound US20, just west of Idaho Falls. The Sierra, which was towing a single-axle trailer, entered the westbound lanes before the driver steered back eastbound.
The truck rolled into an embankment and came to rest on its cab. A 65-year-old Rapid City, South Dakota, man was driving, and a 75-year-old Rapid City woman was riding as a passenger. Both were wearing seatbelts and sustained minor injuries.
Ground ambulances transported both occupants to a local hospital. The roadway was blocked in both directions for approximately 30 minutes.
The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho Falls Fire Department and Idaho Falls Paramedics assisted at the scene. Idaho State Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
