The National Weather Service office in Pocatello issued a Flash Flood Watch early Thursday for parts of central and southeast Idaho, with the advisory remaining in effect through Friday afternoon.
Heavy rain could trigger flash flooding and debris flows near the Big Rock and Ohio burn scars. Heise may also experience flash flooding.
The affected areas include the Wood River Foothills and Upper Snake River Plain. The weather service advised residents near the two burn scars to prepare for possible debris flows.
