Idaho Falls Pride Sets “Many Roots, One Rainbow” Theme With Parade, Festival Planned for Late June

Idaho Falls Pride has announced its theme and full event schedule for this year’s celebration, with a parade and free festival both planned for late June along the Snake River Greenbelt.

The theme chosen for this year’s gathering is “Many Roots, One Rainbow,” a concept organizers say is meant to reflect inclusivity across different identities and backgrounds. In a statement, Pride organizers said, “Whether you define yourself by a label, many labels, or none at all — you belong.”

Events Span Two Days in Late June

The festivities begin Friday, June 26, with a drag show. The main events follow the next morning, Saturday, June 27, when the annual Pride Parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the parking lot of the Unitarian Universalist Church. Participants will march along a route that winds around the Greenbelt before returning to the festival area near the Greenbelt Bandshell.

The Idaho Falls Pride Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greenbelt Bandshell area, offering live music, performances, vendor booths, community organization tables, and family activities. Admission to the festival is free, and organizers are expecting between 2,000 and 3,000 attendees throughout the course of the day — making it one of the larger community gatherings in Idaho Falls each summer.

Safety Planning and Volunteer Needs

Idaho Falls Pride organizers said they have worked with local agencies and regional organizations to develop safety plans for the event. Security officers and volunteers will be stationed throughout the festival grounds, and a first aid station will be available for attendees.

The organization is currently seeking additional volunteers and sponsors ahead of the late June dates. Those interested in supporting the event can reach out to Idaho Falls Pride directly through their organization’s channels.

The Greenbelt Bandshell area, situated along the Snake River in the heart of Idaho Falls, regularly hosts large community events throughout the summer season. Attendees planning to participate in the parade are advised to arrive at the Unitarian Universalist Church staging area before the 10 a.m. start to allow time to gather with other participants before the march begins.

What Comes Next

With the event now just weeks away, Idaho Falls Pride is in its final push to secure volunteers, confirm sponsors, and finalize logistics ahead of the June 26–27 weekend. Community members interested in attending the free festival can plan on full-day programming at the Greenbelt Bandshell from opening to the 5 p.m. close. Those with questions about vendor or organizational booth opportunities should contact Idaho Falls Pride through their official channels.

Other community events are also on the calendar for Idaho Falls this summer. The Make-A-Wish Idaho annual fundraising walk returns to Idaho Falls this weekend, giving residents another opportunity to participate in charitable community activity before the Pride events later in the month.

Residents heading out to any outdoor events this week should also be aware that a hard freeze and high wind advisory is in effect for Eastern Idaho through Thursday morning, with conditions expected to improve before the weekend.
