A 24-year-old Idaho Falls resident has been charged with aggravated driving under the influence following a collision involving two trucks that left two passengers injured, authorities said.
Weston Marker was arrested after the crash occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 19th Street and Yellowstone Highway. First responders arrived to find two vehicles that had collided, with passengers requiring medical attention.
During the investigation, officers noted signs consistent with impaired driving. Marker admitted to consuming alcohol before getting behind the wheel, and responding officers observed the smell of alcohol and slurred speech. A breathalyzer test registered a blood alcohol concentration of .08.
