The approximately 10,000-square-foot 12 Performance Center will offer speed and strength training along with in-house physical therapy. Planned features include indoor turf, a hardwood court and batting cages.
The facility will serve athletes in football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, lacrosse and hockey. Wrestling and boxing may also be accommodated.
Hussey, a former Hillcrest, Utah State and Idaho State football player, said the center is intended to bring multiple services together. “Everything under one roof is the goal,” he said.
Incoming skill coaches include Braxton Herrick of Bandits Baseball Academy, Desmond Miles of Miles Hoop Academy, Tyler Wallis of East Idaho Force and Melbe Perez of Born 2 Volleyball.
Hussey described the planned opening as an “early Christmas present.” He also said, “Your skill can only go as far as your athletic foundation is set.”
