Idaho Falls firefighters responded to a mobile home fire on Sunday morning that resulted in one injury and the death of a pet.
Crews were dispatched at 10:07 a.m. to a park located east of U.S. Highway 91 and West Sunnyside Road. Upon arrival, responders rescued a resident from the burning structure.
“Crews provided emergency medical care before the individual was transported to a local hospital,” said Hayli Egbert.
The patient’s identity and current condition were not released Sunday afternoon. A dog found inside the home did not survive the incident.
The mobile home and all contents were declared a total loss. The Idaho Falls Fire Department has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
