An Ammon man is facing serious felony charges after he allegedly pointed a cocked handgun at a group of teenagers at McCowin Park in Idaho Falls late Monday night, an incident that was captured on video and quickly circulated across social media.
Shane Sutton, 37, was arrested and booked into the Bonneville County Jail on three counts of aggravated assault following the confrontation, which occurred near the park’s pickleball courts at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Monday.

According to authorities, Sutton approached a group of teenagers at McCowin Park, apparently upset over fireworks activity in the area.
